Whether injections make you nervous or not, The WAND helps us provide a more effective anesthetic delivery.  You're more comfortable throughout the procedure, and we may be able to use new techniques so you won't experience the lingering numbness of tongue, lips and face.

How does Computer Controlled Anesthetic Delivery work?

 

The microprocessor inside The WAND automatically compensates for different tissue densities.  The anesthetic is delivered at a constant pressure and volume that's typically below the threshold of pain.

 

The computer provides a flow of anesthetic directly ahead of the needle.  This numbs the site of insertion and develops a "pathway of anesthesia" so you hardly feel the needle at all.

 

The source of discomfort for most injections, however, isn't the needle, it's the flow of the anesthetic into your tissue.  The WAND delivers the anesthetic at an optimal flow rate for a comfortable injection every time.
